An Indian feast (and my favourite biker jacket) at Tuk Tuk

I’ve been so excited to share this amazing biker jacket by Elsie and Fred with you for ages now, so when the Edinburgh bloggers were invited to Tuk Tuk restaurant, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase my favourite new buy.

Oh, and also to enjoy an Indian feast…

I’m not great at casual dressing, but it’s something I’ve been working on lately. Sometimes a gal just wants to be comfy, damn it! This gorgeous leopard print Nobody’s Child bodysuit has been my go to recently. I love its subtle pattern and deep scoop back. A simple piece that definitely makes an impact!

Now onto the jacket. Isn’t it exquisite?! I’ve spoken before about my love of Elsie and Fred, and I finally decided to treat myself to one of their customised bikers.

The detailing on this jacket is fantastic. The velvet fabric and little pearls really make it. Can you tell I really love this jacket?!

Anyway, enough swooning and onto the food. Edinburgh bloggers were given an exclusive preview of Tuk Tuk’s new Tiffin menu. This featured a selection of their top dishes for a fixed price.

If you’ve never been to Tuk Tuk on Tollcross before, this is in Indian restaurant specialising in street food-style dishes. It’s like Indian tapas- the main menu features lots of little dishes. The great thing about the new Tiffin menu is it helps make choosing what to order much easier- as well as knowing how many dishes to go for.

The meal arrives in a funky little canister like this-

Each layer contains a different dish, and opens up to reveal your personal Indian banquet. I absolutely LOVE this little container thingy, and I wish I could get one of these sent to me for lunch every day (though my waistline would not!)

I went for the pakora platter, chilli chicken (amazing), saag paneer (lovely and creamy) and the obligatory peshwari naan. It was delicious, and the perfect way to sample several dishes.

Tuk Tuk’s new Tiffin menu is set to arrive in Edinburgh at the start of November. In other exciting news, Tuk Tuk will also be launching in Glasgow very shortly- keep your eyes peeled!

What are your favourite restaurants in Edinburgh? I’d love to hear about them!
