There’s no way you can have missed the patches trend. From jackets to bags and even jewellery, this quirky kitsch look has hit the High Street by storm.
We have Gucci to thank for this. Ever since Alessandro Rochele reinvented the brand’s staple monogrammed bags, budget labels such as Topshop, Zara and New Look have been cashing in on the trend. Thank you, High Street, for letting me join in the fun!

This is a great trend for a causal look. Just like subtle embellishment, badge detailing adds a little bit of ‘something’ without being in your face.
As soon as I saw this bag I knew it was a must buy. Sure, it barely fits a thing, but the collection of patches (especially ‘no bad vibes’- yep, my hand is covering the crucial part there) and the colours make this a fun yet wearable piece.
I scooped up the t-shirt to complete the look from Zara’s kids’ section. New Look and H&M are also good for decorated t-shirts- I especially love this pineapple one!
Let’s take a moment to discuss this amazing yellow biker jacket. I know that everyone has it but I just love it! The length is perfect for my petite frame. and the colour is so cool. I definitely won’t mind if you jump on the bandwagon too and buy this one.
For someone who really isn’t a jeans and t-shirt girl, I feel that each element of this look is interesting enough that I don’t feel underdressed at all. This outfit is perfect for a day’s shopping or wandering around the city.
