For me, the best part of any event is choosing what to wear. The excitement of creating an outfit to turn heads, and to finally wear those amazing pieces that have been crying out for attention in your wardrobe.
Here’s my look for Edinburgh Fashion Week 2016.
Skirt: Zara; Bodysuit: Hot!Me$$; Jacket: eBay; Necklace: Primark; Sandals: Everything5pounds.com
Choosing an outfit for an event in Edinburgh in early March is no mean feat. In the end I decided to disregard the weather and embrace a rock chick/boho inspired spring look.
I picked up this skirt in Zara in New York and I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to wear it over here. I was obsessed from the moment I first saw it, mostly because it’s a cheeky High Street copy of the famous Tamara Mellon fringe skirt, but cost about 1/20th of the price. Awesome.
Such swishy fun! With this a statement piece, I decided to keep the rest of my look simple and went for a monochrome palette. The surprise star for me was this tribal inspired necklace from Primark. I forgot I even had this. The dark charcoal against the silver is an unusual and edgy combination- perfect for my tough-yet-glam look.
Keep shaking those tassels,
