Baby It’s Cold Outside: Keeping it glam whatever the weather

So it’s Saturday night, you’re all set to get your party pants on, when suddenly the temperature drops and the sky turns snowy. It’s a major fashion dilemma. Brave the cold in your favourite party dress, or wrap yourself in all the layers and sensible shoes?

Instead, I decided to to get creative and find an outfit that was both comfy and stylish.

Coat: New Look; Boots: Pretty Little Thing

First and foremost, if you haven’t invested in some faux fur for your winter party wardrobe then I highly recommend it. I have lived out this coat from New Look since November- even thrown over jeans it adds a touch of instant glamour. High Street faux fur can sometimes be overpriced, so it’s worth trying a vintage or charity shop.

Top and skirt: Missguided

Underneath my faux fur, I went for cosy pieces with added detailing to make my look party-worthy. I absolutely love this cut out top from Missguided. The long sleeves make this a cosy layer, but the thin knits and cut outs mean it’s not too warm to wear in a bar. I liked the suede-feel skirt as an alternative to my usual high-waist jeans.

Last but not least, the shoes- you’ve probably gathered by now how much I love burgundy, but the best thing about these beauties for me is that they look smart, yet are comfy enough for bar hopping. My favourite!
