I’ve had somewhat of a resistance to 70s styling in the past. Not because I don’t like it- far from it- but because I don’t want to look like every other woman who shops on the High Street.
But a new season brings new designs and some looks are just too good to miss out on. Especially when they come at such a bargain price.
Coat: Primark; Top: Boohoo; Pinafore: Pretty Little Thing; Sandals: Primark
I get inappropriately excited when the autumn colour palette hits shops. Anything burgundy immediately catches my eye. So when I stumbled upon this pinafore during some late night browsing, I knew it was a must-buy. It’s a little shorter than I’ve been into lately, and quite cutesy (at 5’2″ cutesy is always problematic), but there’s just something about it. Maybe it’s the suede-feel material. Or just the colour. Probably the colour.
With my love of all things berry established, it’s probably no shocker that I couldn’t resist these 70s-inspired platform sandals. And just like that, an outfit was born.
If you’ve spent any time on my blog before, you probably know how enamoured I am with my pink teddybear fur coat (sweet Jesus I love that thing). But I’ve always craved a camel version too, so I almost cried with happiness (absolutely not joking) when I found this coat in Primark for £25. Twenty-five British Pounds I tell you!!! Sorry, River Island, you can stuff your £100+ offerings. That’s my throw-on-and-go staple sorted.
Happy autumn bargain hunting!
