Ballin’: Vintage vibes for a date with Lady Liberty

Sometimes you see a dress and think, ‘yep, that’s the one, that’s what I’ve been looking for’.

Such was the case with this black vintage number I picked up back in June. I knew it would be perfect for a very special date.imageDress: Gypsy Nation Vintage

On Saturday night I enjoyed a dinner-dance cruise down the River Hudson, to mark the (almost) end of my time in New York- sob! But what better way to do it than with these stunning views? The thing about the Manhattan skyline is you don’t get to see it when you’re living there.

The highlight had to be close-up views of the Statue of Liberty, so that’s another thing off the bucket list. I prayed to Lady Liberty to grant me a Greencard (kind-of-sort-of not-joking). It’s going to be so hard leaving New York!

You may have already read about my vintage dress find at the Williamsburg Flea Market. It’s not what I had initially envisioned for the cruise (because obviously I have my outfits planned like 3 months in advance) but I fell in love with its unique style when I saw it.

Thanks for following my New York adventure- hopefully I’ll have a couple more posts to share before my time here is up.
