Afternoon Delight: tea time at the Cally

I love when my parents come to visit me: it means free food.

Obviously, I also enjoy their company, but free food is not to be sniffed at as a student. Especially if it’s fancy free food. This time round, my mum took me for afternoon tea at the Caledonian Hotel. Any excuse to get dressed up is fine with me.

Dress: Lavish Alice; Boots: Zara; Necklace: New Look

I got an absolute bargain on this dress. Lavish Alice had a promotion going where all sale items were reduced to £10, even though the dress was originally £52. You know me- I laaav a bargain! It was hard to photograph but the back has a gorgeous split detail, and the white band is actually a mesh material.

Of course, anything I can team with my new fave burgundy boots is a winner to me. I am a big fan of the circle skirt/ knee-high boot combo- cosy and classy!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, afternoon tea was pretty great too.

Embrace the last of the sale bargains while you can,
